Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Review for Parents

Despite the PG-13 rating, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for children, and has a good sense of humor and childish stupid characters. The film has some violence, but it is very soft and impractical for other PG-13 movies like Captain America. Winter Soldier or The Edge Of Tomorrow Many action sequences do not occur throughout the film includes swords and martial arts action, but rarely hurt anyone, and there is little or no blood.

The Shredder character can not be scary for some children, but not too scary and a lot of time on the screen. There are some sexual innuendo, commenting especially with men, how attractive a woman is, but they are sweet and very likely will not be picked up by the children and are not as hot as jokes Guardians of the Galaxy this summer. Blasphemy in the film is usually mild for a PG-13 movie, with two uses of "A" word of mouth and the word "s".

While humor and action to entertain the children, childish tone of the film may be too uncomfortable for tweens and teens. Girls can also find the least interesting movie, because there is no strong female characters as April O'Neil, who is constantly in danger, and has just been rescued by other characters in general. The film feels less intense than other PG-13 films released in 2014, and is much less intense and violent than other summer action movies. Basically, the tone and style of the film is very similar to that of a comic book. Children may want to martial arts fights in the film, which mimic an interpretation of the live-action cartoons such as Kung Fu Panda drawings as action and not too far from the last movie TMNT, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2007 cartoon.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Content Overview

Violence (Medium): Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has a lot of fights and action everywhere, but no one was killed, and there is little or no blood. Although it explosions and destruction at the end of the film were actually displayed on the screen no injuries. While the violence in this film is gentle enough for a PG-13, there is plenty of action by Kung-Fu, and use a character of weapons to fight a duel.

Horror Scenes (High): The character Shredder can be scary for children, but is never much time on the screen or sometimes nothing particularly wrong. The main characters are constantly in danger, but that never seem to hurt.

Sex / Nudity (soft): a very mild references that are probably not collected from young children. Some women wear high necklines or form assembly lines.

Drugs and Alcohol (None): None.

(Mild) Language: Two uses of the "a" word, saying inaudibly "s".

/ Disrespectful behavior imitable (above): While the kids might want to play some of the action sequences, the film has characters with positive qualities such as loyalty and brotherhood. Probably be tempting the action sequences and little regard for the language or jokes, to imitate for young children.

/ Disturbing scenes Sad (moderate): At one point, it seems that Splinter is dead, is emotional for turtles. April shows remorse for his dead father, but is rather short.
